Frameless Copper IUD – Non-Hormonal Contraception
GyneFix is a device that differs from conventional intrauterine devices (IUDs); it is an innovative contraceptive method for women. GyneFix is inserted into the uterine wall. GyneFix consists of 4 copper sleeves (GyneFix 200 Regular) or 6 copper sleeves (GyneFix 330) threaded onto a surgical suture. A tiny knot at the upper end of the thread stabilizes the intrauterine device in place. This feature of the device practically prevents device expulsion.
